Spring Wedding Inspiration by Catherine Threlkeld Photography
And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth’s dark breast,
Rose from the dreams of its wintry rest
— Percy Bysshe Shelley

Springs comes, and with it a renewed sense of life. We gain the ability to open our hearts and feel the sunshine that the heavens provide. Love is anew, fresh and exhilarating, it leaves a fire in our hearts and a desperate need in our souls. Spring, the season for new life, passionate love and fresh inspiration. Catherine Threlkeld and her talented team of vendors have us dreaming of the days of Spring and longing for it’s warmth and love.

From photographer Catherine Threlkeld: “I wanted to create a styled wedding shoot at Willowdale Estate to exude the beauty of New England. As wedding professionals, we often see the beautiful California coastline or the Amalfi coast, but New England is blessed with such beautiful and historic places. Willowdale Estate is a Tudor Revival Stone Mansion from 1901, and it's rich history lends so much romance and character to the weddings on its property. Springtime in New England is often grey and rainy, but we had the most beautiful light streaming through the fresh green trees.

Our florist, Shawna of the Wild Dahlia, brought spring to the forefront of the bouquet with lush peonies, a staple of New England springtime. I chose a romantic and delicate Amy Kuschel gown from Flair Boston. The entire shoot was fresh, youthful, and represented the newness that spring brings to the region.”

I am a hybrid wedding photographer, incorporating both film and digital into my work. I love film’s grainy texture and beautiful skin tones. I hope my photography evokes the warm and loving feelings that my couple’s experience on their wedding day. I absolutely love my job as a wedding photographer, I get to spend a couple’s most special day creating memories for them to relive again and again.
