Fall Inspired Wedding at The Lodges on Vashon
Delicious Autumn!
My very soul is wedded to it,
and if I were a bird I would fly around the earth
seeking the successive autumns.
— George Eliot

Autumn, the season of change. When the colors of earth change to those of fire. They ignite our souls and inspire us in unimaginable ways. Fall is a season for warmth, for love and for inspiring minds. The Lodges on Vashon come to life with falls beautiful colors and we love the way that Anna Peters and her team created today's editorial to capture that so exquisitely. Full of life and the richness that is fall, this session has us embracing everything we love about this beautiful season.

From photographer Anna Peters: "Our couple for this editorial inspiration is a modern Seattle couple inspired by the rich tones of fall but opting for a more minimal, fresh wedding style. Choosing to focus on well-crafted details and rich, nuanced textures, they take a less-is-more approach, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels natural and contemporary. The centerpiece of the look is the masterfully layered lace gown from Jonathan Simkhai, an unconventional gown for the fashionista bride. The architectural elements of the gown complement the sculptural, refined florals by Carey of Bleedfoot Florals, taking the deep, romantic hues of fall and injecting them with fresh life. The florals were designed to be a balance of minimal, romantic, and botanical, with strict and bold curation of colors. Architectural palm fronds give a graphic and modern edge, while the silky ranunculus and heuchera leaves soften it out.  Letting unique materials speak for themselves in more minimal arrangements gives guests a chance to appreciate the individual flowers and compositions."

Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”

”I’m a photographer, mentor, and traveler who is convinced that even the most humble moments hold a graceful story within. In documenting a family in their home, wandering the streets of a new city, or capturing a well-designed wedding, I seek the essential, elegant, and unexpected. Most of all, I value the fellow seekers I meet on my journey (nice to meet you!)- who have inspired me to have an open mind, an open heart, and a compassionate lens.
