Sonoma Engagement Session by Emily March Photography

We are officially in love with Sonoma! This gorgeous area created a perfectly dramatic backdrop to this beautiful engagement session by Emily March Photography. The perfect combination of southern charm and french architecture, this session truly stands apart from the typical California wine country session.

From photographer Emily March Payne: Napa might be the famous wine region in California, but Sonoma has a lot going for it too! Tori and Jeff are dear friends of mine, and exploring such a beautiful area with these two resulted in some of my absolute favorite pictures. That California sunshine looks good on these two! We started their session at Chateau St. Jean, a beautiful little winery in the heart of Sonoma Valley. I loved it's classic French architecture and romantic gardens. Even in the dead of winter, this place has plenty of beautiful greenery - I can't wait to return in the summer! Our next stop was just down the road at the Sonoma Valley Regional Park where we caught last glimpses of sunshine. This park is a hidden gem, and I still cannot get over those crazy Dr. Seuss-like trees! I know I'll have a lot more engagement sessions in Sonoma, but I think this one will always be a little tough to beat.

I’m a watcher of sunrises, traveler of the world, believer in Jesus, drinker of coffee, grower of vegetables and taker of pictures. Peonies and Claude Monet are my favorites, but I love my family and friends to the moon and back. Though I live in California’s wine country, I’m a Carolina girl through and through. I love rainy mornings, homemade cookies, guacamole, Jane Austen novels and being silly. I am ridiculously cold-natured and firmly believe that winter should only exist during the month of December. I will never say “no” to a burrito or a glass of champagne. I’m blessed to be married to an awesome guy named Brendan, and I love sharing the joy of marriage with my couples. For five beautiful years I’ve been blessed to have my dream job – photographing people on the happiest day of their lives. I’m so glad you’re here… make yourself at home!
