Romantic Newlywed Session by Peterson Design & Photography

Newlywed Session | Peterson Photography | Joy Wed blog

Wedding days can be overwhelming and incredibly busy which is why I love day-after shoots, like this one created by Marisa of Peterson Design & Photography. It gives couples the opportunity to truly embrace each other, to really be in the moment and to capture those images that you might have been distracted for on your actual wedding day. This beautifully styled day-after shoot allows us to truly see the love between Fevan and Brandon and that's perfection!

From photographer Marisa Peterson: Fevan and Brandon love photos and their wedding photos were a huge priority for them! Unfortunately we didn't have much time on their wedding day for portraits and no time in the schedule for a day-after shoot so we put together a delayed day-after shoot that became more of a newlywed styled shoot! I was inspired by the colors and vintage feel of their wedding as well as their wedding bands to create a theme centered around silver, gold and copper. We visited a park close to Fevan's childhood home, Chino Hills State Park where we set up a mini sweetheart table complete with cake (cake topper by Better Off Wed), floral styling by me and by my magnificent assistant Ruth, and a custom painting by yours truly :) We also brought along some champagne and vintage tray with glasses for a toast with confetti! We had such a beautiful time with these two providing them with even more portraits and we are so glad they wanted to do this shoot with us!
