High Desert Modern Minimal Bridal Shoot by Niki Rhodes Photo

A woman in harmony with her spirit is like a river flowing. She goes where she will without pretense and arrives at her destination prepared to be herself and only herself.

To embrace the beauty of women is to truly embrace the beauty of the soul. Powerful, strong and beautiful, we bond together in love and sisterhood. Life's journey is often unpredictable but if we are blessed to have strong women in our corner, supporting and loving us, then there are no limits to the successes we can create. The bond between friends is strong, but the bond between women in unbreakable.

From photographer Niki McCarthy: "We were first inspired by the Art Deco modern earrings that are all the rage right now! We figured if we could bring that trend to the high desert, in a minimal bridal fashion, what would that look like?

The high desert has more of a country feel here and we knew that these brides needed to be inspired by a different side of this landscape. The minimal color palette and foliage of the high desert was also a huge factor in designing this set for the images.

We kept the tones neutral from the backdrop, to the calligraphy, the gowns and the jewelry modern. We spiced up the shot with some blooms and fierce models.

I love working with clients who share a love for natural light, meaningful details, and a fine art aesthetic. I am not only a photographer but also a director, a curator, and most of all, a story teller for your special event. Every wedding is unique, and offers an opportunity for a love story to be told in completely different way.
