Today we're chatting with Katie Scott from Basic Invite and sharing some of their gorgeous stationery designs. This dynamic stationery company specializes in everything from elegant wedding invitations to save the date cards and bridal shower invites.
Basic Invite has so much to offer their customers but here are a few of our favorite points:
~ Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options.
~ Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before they ever have to place their final order.
~ Customers can choose from over 40 different colors when it comes to their envelopes so that they can make their invitation stand out even before it is opened.
~ Each invitation is part of a set. You can find everything from save the dates to wedding invitations and enclosure cards, wedding menus, wedding programs and even matching thank you cards!
We recently had the pleasure of chatting with Katie Scott from Basic Invite and we had a few questions for her.
1. What do you consider to be this seasons "must have" with stationery pieces?
"Designs! Rather than a simple white cardstock with pretty cursive - it's all about the designs! Floral, art deco, botanical, modern, vintage, watercolor... anything goes! Adding some personality or details that match your wedding's aesthetic is in this season! Gold and silver foil invitations are another timeless option. These designs have the allure of simple and classic, but with just a touch of something special to make them stand out."
2. When it comes to 2017 trends what style of stationery are you finding to be the most popular?
"Floral designs, bold fonts, and borders. Also, matching your wedding invitation style to the season itself. This winter was all about woodsy and deep reds as well as foil and shimmer. Now that spring is almost here we are seeing tons of brides choosing floral designs."
3. Are you finding there to be any color trends surfacing for 2017?
"Since we have over 180 color options we don't see as many uniform color trends as we do style trends. Our brides tend to get pretty creative with their colors and mix and match depending on their wedding color palette, style preferences, and invitation design themes. Currently, pinks, lighter shades, and watercolor/ombre is pretty popular. Usually color and style follow suit with the time of wedding season that is upon us, Currently, spring!"
